REVAMPED  RACING  CIRCUIT  AT  TOCKWITH

sarah and davidTockwith Motorsports situated between York and Wetherby in North Yorkshire have laid a fantastic new racing surface on their racing circuit on the Tockwith site.  Everybody that has seen and used the new circuit describes it as the best kept secret in the North.
The circuit has mainly been developed to complement the fantastic existing facilities already on the old airfield that has the Early Driver Learning Centre, the skid pan, the karting circuits and the proving ground.  Simon Moore, who owns the circuit and associated facilities, feels now that he has the best facility for developing the next generation of racing talent, as they also have the cars to learn in and also race.  He also runs the most successful team in modern day Ginetta with wins in the G20 Junior Ginetta and also the G50 Championships in the last three years.
But the facilities are not just for driver development.  The whole site is a great destination for Corporate days, Stag and Hen dos, as well as car launches and car development both of road as well as race cars.

IT IS A FACILITY REALLY WORTH LOOKING AT.

Sarah Moore

Sarah Moore, who has been tipped to become the best woman racing driver in the world, has recently been celebrating her nomination for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year.

For Sarah, from our very own Tockwith Racing Team this tops off an incredible year which has seen her crowned 2009 Ginetta Junior Racing Champion, and become the first female title winner in the history of the British Touring Car Championships.

Sarah, who is just 16 years old, has been driving cars since she was seven years old, and started practicing in Ginetta cars when she was 11 years old before racing competitively at 14.

Sarah puts a lot of her success down to dedication and the availability of the fantastic facilities at Tockwith where she has honed her craft. As a young child, initially on the kart racing circuit, learning to drive on the learner driver centre and then her racing craft on the skid pan, proving ground and latterly on the new racing circuit.
